Being free means you are recharging. And recharging is important. You are not supposed to use your phone while charging then why pressure yourself into constantly being productive?
I have unlearned this behaviour after my 30s. Humans are not meant to be productive 24x7. No organic matter ever needs to be.
This hustle for life is by-product of capitalism. So, initially when I started taking time and looking out the window, I imagined I was giving the finger to Elon Musk 🀣🀣🀣

So I come from Nagpur, a tier 2 city and work on Bangalore which is well a tier 1 city.

Things in Nagpur are super cheap. Like really cheap. At 30k/month you won't feel the financial pinch.

The fact that my house is already in Nagpur, means if I were to move back I wouldn't need to pay for rent, electricity, WiFi, grocery and most stuff like this.

I could save a lot.

But, a giant but, if I were to go back I would most probably be WFH, I would have no friends from school and college because they all moved out of town. I'll have no one of my age. I'll be surrounded by my parents and people their age and my relatives.

And as good as they all are, there's a limit to which you can be surrounded by them. No matter how old you are, you'll always be treated like a child, unless you are married, which in itself brings another set of issues.

I would have minimal independence, I would have to follow rules, I would have limited avenues to go out during weekends even if I had permission, because there's nothing to explore in Nagpur.

So I yes I would save a lot. But then all that money would go to counselling that my mental would need. And the worse part? There aren't many good mental health professionals there in the first place.

So yes, nothing in life is worth your mental health. Pay a little extra to be comfortable and happy. It's fine.
The best example I would say
Not really.

I feel like there's a chore that can be outsourced, comfortably within my means. I will save few k less, but I think of it as buying k worth of happiness and my own time 😎

Honestly, I think peace is one of those things you don’t appreciate until you lose it.
Some things may look worth it from the outside, but not if they’re constantly draining you.
Choosing yourself isn’t selfish, even if it means walking away.
Protecting your peace will always be worth it.
