The Many Versions of You 🫢✨

Have you ever caught yourself saying, "That's just not me," only to realize a few months later that maybe it is?

Maybe you were the girl who swore she'd never wear bold red lipstick and now it's the first thing you reach for before heading out anywhere. Maybe you used to love going out every weekend and now you'd rather spend a Friday night at home with a comfort sitcom and your favourite bag of chips. Maybe you've changed your mind about the career you wanted, the music you listen to or the kind of people you surround yourself with.

For some reason women are often expected to have a fixed identity. Once people label you as "the athletic one" or "the artistic one" or "the organized one", there's an unsaid expectation for you to stay that way. And when you don't, people notice.

"You've changed."
As if that's a bad thing.

The truth is, everyone is constantly evolving. We pick up new interests, let go of old habits, outgrow several versions of ourselves and discover sides of us we didn't know existed.

Growth isn't always dramatic. It a could be as simple as ordering something different at your usual cafe or realizing you don't enjoy things you once used to like.
You don't owe anyone consistency for the sake of making them comfortable. You're allowed to experiment, change your mind and surprise people.

Being yourself doesn't mean staying exactly the same forever. It means giving yourself the freedom to become whoever feels most like you at this stage of your life.

And if that version changes again a few years from now, that's okay too.
