The Cat who saved Books

The Cat who saved Books

4/5

Oftentimes we say Japanese take every subject matter a tad too seriously. They did it this time as well and you won't regret it.

I felt this to be a very meta read. If you are one of those people who at times struggle with being a "performative" reader, or reading "too fast", this book somehow feels very validating and challenging at the same time. It will teach you to sit with a book.

It has quoted gems like:
"Books can't live your life for you.."
"Cherished books will always have a soul. It will come to it's reader's aid in times of crisis"

They seem contradictory, but if you read it, it will make sense.

It's cozy, fantasy and can be finished in a sitting and will stay with you for a while.
