Bangalore, You Make It So Hard to Leave You.
I always knew I'd go back to Manipal.
What I didn't expect was how hard it would be to leave Bangalore.
Somewhere between coming to work every morning and figuring out which metro exit I was supposed to take, this city found a place in my heart. Through the little things, big moments and the people I met, it slowly became a city I'd always want to come back to.
I'll miss the crispy benne dosa that tasted like a hug after a long day.
I'll miss looking out of my PG rooftop at dusk, watching the warm street lights make everything look softer.
I'll miss stepping outside at 2 a.m. and feeling that cool Bangalore breeze against my face.
But most of all, I'll miss the people.
The coworkers who turned an internship into an experience I'll never forget, the friends who made an unfamiliar city feel so familiar, the conversations that started as small talk and somehow became memories I'll carry long after I leave.
Bangalore is chaotic. It's crowded. It's overwhelming.
But it's overwhelming in the best way possible.
There's always another café to discover, another event happening, another road you've never gone down (or climbed up) before and another personality to meet.
It's the kind of city that has room for every version of every person.
No matter who you are, there's probably a little corner here waiting to become your favourite.
And that's why I fell in love with it.
I came here thinking I was just spending my summer break doing an internship.
Instead, I found independence, confidence, routines that became rituals and people who proved that it's the people, more than the place, that make a city unforgettable.
Most importantly, I found a version of myself that I'm really proud of.
I'll always love Manipal. It's like my second home.
But Bangalore gave me something different. It challenged me, it surprised me, it made me grow. Spending my summer here turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.
So here's to the city that gave me more than I ever asked for.
Thank you for the pink sunsets, the endless possibilities and every moment that made every single day here worth remembering.
I'll leave with a full heart and an even fuller camera roll.
And I already know I'll be back.
