TwoXTalks Recap Ep 18: Life Lessons to My Younger Self 💌⏳
If you could sit down on a park bench with the teenage version of you, what’s the first thing you’d say?
Would you give her a warning? A piece of advice? Or just a massive hug?
In this episode of TwoXTalks, our host Prachi opened up the floor to the community for a beautifully raw conversation on the life lessons we wish we could hand back to our younger selves. But right from the start, the discussion focused on a much deeper realization:
What if our younger selves are actually looking at us right now and asking, “You know exactly what we wanted, so what’s stopping you from doing it today?”
The community opened up about what happens when you stop chasing approval and start trusting yourself:
✨ Choosing Growth Over Fear: There is a massive difference between staying somewhere because you are genuinely content and staying somewhere simply because you are terrified of what happens if you leave. True maturity is learning to spot the difference.
✨ Unlearning the "Good Girl" Expectations: From undoing strict parental curfews to staying in one-sided relationships just to avoid hurting someone else's feelings, women are raised to prioritize others over themselves. The ultimate lesson? Learning that "No" is a complete sentence.
✨ Letting Go of Made-Up Timelines: We stress ourselves out thinking everyone else has their life entirely figured out by 25. The reality? There is no perfect blueprint for adulthood. Everyone is just learning how to handle the challenges as they come, and your timeline cannot be compared to anyone else's.
The Bottom Line: You don't have to wait for a time machine to fix past regrets. The version of you from five years ago might have been too scared to take the leap, but the version of you sitting here today has the power to choose differently.
