🤱 Working Moms🗣️ discuss

I am reading this book and this particular exchange...

I am neither married nor have children but is it really accepted of me to leave my work/career behind to take care of the kid?

Any man who expects you to put your career at backburner while he keeps himself thriving in his career just so your child has its mother's constant presence in its upbringing, is not a man worth reproducing with.

Right? I have seen family also put pressure on the daughters to put a break on their career. I have seen it irl. But then I do understand that motherhood is special for moms. Some might want to put a break on their career.
Some women would want to and some wouldn't. They should have the freedom to choose. It's the forcing of the expectations that only a mother needs to sacrifice everything for raising her child, is something that I don't like. That's not feminism.

Her being able to choose freely whether to work in office or be a housewife is what feminism is. Her being forced to do either of those things if she doesn't want to isn't feminism
