TwoXTalks Ep. 16 Recap - Lessons From the Women Who Raised Us ššāāļø
This episode was a love letter to the women who helped shape who we've become.
Instead of looking at celebrities or historical figures, this discussion turned inward to the mothers, sisters, grandmothers, caregivers and every woman we grew up with whose everyday actions taught us some of our biggest life lessons. It was a reminder that strength doesn't always look extraordinary. Sometimes it looks like showing up, carrying on and choosing love even when it feels hard to do so.
⨠What stayed with me most:
- Inspiration often starts at home: The women closest to us can leave the deepest impact and teach us values we'll carry through our lifetime.
- Resilience isn't always visible to us: Through stories of sisterhood and dealing with self-doubt, this episode showed us what it means to keep going even when life feels uncertain, and to do it with courage.
- Kindness is a choice: One of the most moving moments reflected on a woman who faced multiple hardships, but chose to move through life with grace, warmth and generosity.
- We can break cycles: The hosts spoke about how powerful it is to choose empathy over resentment and compassion over repeating the pain we've experienced. It is on OUR hands to break the cycle of generational trauma and bad treatment.
