The Most Honest Folder on Your Phone 📱

More than the photos of sunsets and yummy food, our galleries are filled with screenshots.

Open anyone's camera roll and somewhere between nature pictures and shaky selfies, you'll find them.
A text that made you laugh at 2 a.m.
A recipe you'll probably never cook
A dress that's been sitting in your Savana cart for months.
A meme that perfectly described your mood on a random Tuesday afternoon.
A quote that you relate to more than anything else.

Screenshots are strange. We take them because something in our screen feels worth holding onto, even if we don't know why.

Some are practical. Most aren't.

They're tiny tokens from moments that would've otherwise disappeared with one scroll. Little reminders of who we were on a random weekday. Mundane things that made us laugh, made us hopeful or simply felt worthy enough to press two buttons and steal more space from our already filled gallery.

Every once in a while, I'll scroll through my screenshots instead of my photo gallery. It's like flipping through a scrapbook of digital footprints. There are forgotten hairstyles I wanted to try, places I dreamed of visiting and conversations that once made me laugh till I fell off my bed. Most of the time, screenshots have absolutely no context but somehow still feel impossible to delete.

Maybe that's why deleting screenshots is so hard.
You're not just clearing storage. You're deciding which tiny pieces of your life to throw away for good.

So no, my screenshots folder isn't organized. It's chaotic, outdated, and embarrassingly full.
But so is yours and everyone else's.

But in a weird way, it might be the most honest diary I've ever kept.
