🌱 Life in 20s💡 advice

I want to shave my head entirely

Ever since I turned 20, I decided that I wanted to do 3 things before turning 30. Sort of like a lil bucket list. Getting a septum piercing, a tattoo, and shaving my head completely (and then letting my hair re-grow on its own). I'm happy to announce that I did get a septum piercing pretty recently 😋 (and im planning to get more piercings lol) and well a tattoo is reserved for later since i'd have to consult a dermat first, but I am really on the fence about shaving my head.
You ask me why i want to do that in the first place? Well, let's say it's a lil step towards self discovery, and testing my own boundaries. Because all this time i've managed to "look pretty" because of my hair, but sometimes it frustrates me. I don't want to depend on my hair to feel confident or feel good about myself and well, as someone with thin hair, I think i can do with a full shave to sort of start from scratch.
But you see, this is a very big step for me and I don't know when I should do this or how or... what I should expect. I've been thinking I could do it when I get a stable job but I also want to do this before getting married and that time window seems very small and lowkey risky to me.

If there's any advice you'd have regarding this or doing weird things in your 20s or anything at all, I'd love to hear it <3
Thanks for making it this far 🫵🏽🩷

Honestly I'll say the time to cut all your hair off is now. Because the younger you are, quicker it would grow back in case you regret it.

There's a woman in her early 20s in my co-working space who recently went bald to donate hair. She's rocking the hair cut.
I did it in my early-mid 20s too and it's one of the best things I've done for myself! I went and did it at a temple because they're the experts at this. And because they use a blade, not a machine, there was legit nothing on my head. It was amazing!

I think you've made a great bucket list. Just go for it, if you feel it hampered with your confidence ever then I think you should take the chance so that you don't ever question your beauty again.
i did this when i went through a really bad time and wanted to just go bald just to prove to myself something i dont know, maybe that i didnt care about expectations etc, it was by far the most liberating experience of my life and now my hair is grown and long and some would say i look conventionally beautiful now, but i felt my prettiest and most beautiful then, i would happily do it again and so glad to have done it in the first place.

this was my experience, you do what feels right for you, but the easiest way to know is, whatever you want to do for yourself, coming from your most authentic self will always make you happy over anything else ever.
