Using the platform is simple. you can start with commenting on people's posts first. Then you can start posting about whatever that comes in your mind.
Slowly you can start attending meetups by going in the "Hangout" and "Tag Along" section. Once you start attending, you will understand how a meetup is organised, and then may be one day you can also organise some meetup of your own.
