TwoXTopia, Procreate and a very Stubborn Banner!

At TwoXTopia, one of my favourite parts of being an illustrator is creating visuals that feel warm, soft, and very… woman , like this illustration I sketched recently.

It started with a simple thought:
“What does a safe space for women feel like?”
I didn’t want something formal or corporate , I wanted something that flowed.❤️

So I opened Procreate. I normally stick to Illustrator, but sometimes Procreate just feels like holding a pencil again. Any artists here who’d agree? 😂

I began sketching different women, each with her own energy ,a quiet moment, a thoughtful pause, a soft confidence.
Slowly, I connected them with plants, leaves, and abstract shapes, because growth often happens gently, layer by layer.
The colours came naturally too: calming purples, warm yellows, and a pop of pink for courage ,its also our brand palette.❤️

I originally created this for our LinkedIn banner, imagining the illustration stretching across the page like a soft wave of women and stories.

I started the artwork in the regular LinkedIn profile-banner size,
only to realise later that LinkedIn page banners are ridiculously thin, which meant my whole layout had to be redone from scratch.😭
A full, proper artwork ,hours of sketching, colouring, detailing.

So I went back, resized the canvas, and remade the entire illustration… only to see the lines turn pixelated because of the tiny proportions.
LinkedIn gave me a very humbling zoom-out moment 😂.
So I had to drop that version completely.

Now I’m back in the thinking phase, figuring out how to fit the same softness and flow into a canvas that’s long, narrow, and slightly allergic to nice compositions.

But honestly, I’m excited to recreate it.
These small detours always lead to something better. 💛🌿
