🎒 Solo Travel💬 tell

I solo travelled for the first time and so should YOU!

Hello Girlies,

4th Dec 2025:
I am waiting in my train seat for the journey to start and I am scared to death!

What if I get robbed?
What if I lose my things?
What if I get lost??
What if I don't make it back home?

So many thoughts. Thank God it was a long ass journey of more than 12hours from Agartala, Tripura to Dimapur, Nagaland. Means I had enough time to do my overthinking. So, I just slept.

Anyway, this was not just my first solo travel. But also, my first train journey. So, double the overwhelm... Ekdum cherry on top!

AND.. also had to change train before reaching my final destination.

5th Dec, 2025:
Reached Dimapur.
Met the Guide. Met other travelers. Reached the base.

and.....

the next four days were effing amazing. Experienced something that felt surreal but home. Those four days were the most memorable four days of my life. It felt like a privilege to feel such moments, to be a part of it.

No, nothing was extravagant. or magical. Dev Patel did not make a special appearance.

It was just me. Me and my courage to be out somewhere in an unknown place without a known face nearby.

A small list of things I thought I disliked:
1. Travelling
2. Travelling alone.
3. Train Journey.
4. Meeting new people

And in these 4-5 days, I did all of that and loved it. And I am so proud of myself for doing that.

Yes, travelling is a privilege. And solo travelling as a woman is more than a privilege but a desire for almost all of us.

So, if you have not already. Please solo travel at least once. You will surprise yourself by your abilities to be someone whom you never knew. Your kid-self would be so surprised by you. So, keep surprising her.

A list of things that made my journey smoother.
1. Chalohoppo:
I booked my Nagaland trip via Chalohoppo. and they are great guides! They got curated trips for each Northeastern state. They are not just about sightseeing but immersive experiences. (They made me catch fish in a rice paddy field. Hope you got my point)
Do check them out: https://chalohoppo.com/

2. Where's my Train app:
I think a lot of you are already acquainted with this hero. I mean whoever made this I love you. For someone who was travelling via train, this app was a HUGE relief.

3. And the people I met during my journey.
I cannot guarantee this one. The God of Luck blessed me with the humans I met in Nagaland.

Thank You Girlies for listening to me.
Have a nice day!
