🌱 Life in 20s😮‍💨 vent

Hi, Dr Manvi here.

I just want to know, itni nainsaafi kyu hai?? Left my last because that one was toxic to the point of death. Impossible to work. Nd now almost 4 months in and I can't even get my Resume shortlisted for reasons unknown to me. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. Tauba aage kya karuun. And even other male friends or men I talk to are like you're a female get married, you don't have any financial responsibilities. Blah, blah, blah and shit.

Hi Dr Manvi,
I know it's very frustrating although my field is different (finance), it took me 8 months to get another role that too an internship, my previous role was full time at a startup but the company filed for closure. It's very exhausting and demotivating but just hang in there, and keep applying I know its easier said than done, all this taught me one more thing that networking is super important so if you even remotely know someone just try to reach out
Hey, I know this feels really unfair right now, but don’t let it shake your confidence—you did the right thing by leaving a toxic place. This phase doesn’t define your capability, job searches can be unpredictable and it’s often about timing, not you. Just keep applying consistently, something good will come your way, and honestly ignore all that “just get married” nonsense—you know what you want. This is just a rough patch, not the whole story. Hang in there and dont give up.
Tight hugs girl! Have patience, everything will work out at the end ❤️
ik this feeling from the bottom of my heart, thodasa patience aur rakhlo please. sab sort ho jata hai at the end. aur haan bilkul bhi dusro k faltu baatein na sune, unko kya hi pata about your journey and goals.
I totally get it. Job market can be brutal at times. Finding my very first job was also tough for me. It was a scam where i didn't get paid but still stuck around because it was my first time working so i didn't know where will i go if i left that job. so i stayed till the company laid all of us off.

I'll suggest you create a portfolio along with your resume. A resume is focuses on words describing what you do while a portfolio focuses on what you actually did and presents it in a visual manner.

And people who say why are you worried because you are a woman so you'll anyways get married without getting a job, you need to cut them out of your life. You should not have such kind of negative people in your life.

And have patience, because some months the job market thrives and people find it easier to find jobs while some months there are no job openings. I suggest you find some volunteer kind of work in your field till you get the job of your dreams.

And please don't apply blindly. When you apply to any company, go through their website, their linkedin and current employees. And tweak your resume and portfolio a little to make it personalised for them so that they know why you are suitable for this job. You can also cold email them after that. And whatever assignment they give you, try to read it all and finish it as perfectly as you can. And even if you haven't finished the assignment you should still ideally submit it anyway.
Thanks for the kind words. After a day full of uncertainties and anxiety where everything feels overwhelming, a few kind words help to get by.
